Destination Wedding Location

The first thing you need to consider is where you want to be married at the destination of choice. If it is a location where there are beaches be sure to find a beach that will not be crowded or off limits. You want to be sure it is alright to use the beach of choice. You do not want a State official to interrupt and stop your wedding in the middle of the ceremony.

At the same time, if you choose to stay and get married at a private home you will want to be sure to have permission to use it for the wedding as well. Sometimes neighbors can be a problem. In other words you can not just get married anywhere you choose. Even though it is a religious ceremony and the Constitution says you can, you will find that not everyone goes by the rules.

Once you have a location and a permit if one is needed, you are set to go. You then know that nobody should be interrupting your ceremony. This same advice applies to receptions as well.

I remember once, going to a waterfall in the woods to do a wedding and someone saw us hiking the trail. Suddenly a jeep descended upon us and we found out that the land had been sold and the new owners wanted to be paid if you used their waterfall. That was a real surprise we did not need or expect. If you use a wedding planner at your destination they should be aware and inform you of any rules or regulation that apply to your situation.
